Weekend football predictions

Friday 30 October to Monday 2 November

The model's headline call on every match in the big European leagues, MLS and the cups this weekend. Each row opens the match page, with the probabilities, form and head-to-head; settled matches show the score and whether the call landed.

How these weekend predictions work

Every match gets a probability for each result and goals market from a model trained on football since 2021, and the headline call is the market where it leans hardest. Calls are frozen at kick-off and stay on the page with the result, so a weekend can be checked once it's played. The accuracy page shows how those probabilities have held up.

Frequently asked questions

Which leagues are covered?
The Premier League, the three EFL divisions, the Scottish Premiership, La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga, Ligue 1, the Eredivisie, the Primeira Liga and MLS, plus the Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, FA Cup and League Cup when they're played on a weekend. Every other league we cover has its own page with the week's fixtures.
When do the predictions appear?
The model predicts up to three days ahead, so Saturday's calls appear on Wednesday night and Monday's on Friday night. Each is re-scored every morning as form and ratings update, then frozen at kick-off.
What do Strong, Solid and Moderate mean?
How far the model's probability sits above the minimum that market needs. Strong is well clear of it, Moderate only just. The exact probabilities are on each match page.
Why does a match say no pick?
Either the model hasn't predicted it yet (fixtures appear a week ahead, predictions three days ahead), or no market cleared its minimum. A close match with no strong lean gets no headline call rather than a forced one.
